January Sales Signal Successful Year Ahead for Ford

Nothing is better than starting the year off right. Ford must agree, for the automaker has already seen a jump in sales and we're barely two months in. More specifically, company reports show a 7.4-percent sales increase over the same time in 2011. Exciting, right? But that's not the best part. Metro Ford is even more enthused to share that some of the top-selling new Ford models are available right here at our 2860 S Noland Rd Independence, MO 64055 lot.

Ford Sets New Eco-Friendly Objectives

Metro Ford can't think of many things greener than eco-friendly vehicles like the 2012 Ford Fusion Hyrbrid. Perhaps one, however, would have to be the company ideals that stand firmly behind each new Ford model. How do we know this? Apart from being an avid Ford fan and follower, we noticed a recently publicized new company initiative. And trust us, it simply screams green.

New Ford Fusion Will Bring Advanced Safety to Mainstream Market

High safety comes at a high price. This seems to be the mantra whispered throughout the automotive world in the past. However, this idea doesn't sit well with Ford. That's why the innovative automaker is speaking up against the unspoken rule by introducing its very own Lane-Departure Warning System and offering it to consumers in the affordably priced, well-performing 2013 Ford Fusion.

As part of the Ford Motor Company Blue Oval Scholars Program, our favorite automaker has given a $50,000 fund to the American Indian College. While the donation is certainly wonderful, it's not unique...and we mean that in the best way possible. For quite some time now, Ford has made significant strides to stay involved in the education of our nation's youth. Previous initiatives include a partnership with Box Tops for Education to help raise money for local schools.

Ford Fashion Goes Beyond Vehicle Style

Whoever says the auto world is only concerned about endless specs and numbers is wrong...and Ford is here to prove it. In honor of the company's 100th anniversary, Ford asked two designers to come up with unique dresses and necklaces that reflect the brand's innovation. Wondering how a piece of jewelry can be inspired by a car? Both pieces of fashion had to be created using Ford parts!

Ford Gives the Flex a Facelift for 2013

Sometimes it's better to let go of a model that just isn't kicking up dust. But with the Ford Flex seven-passenger family vehicle, this is far from true. Despite a decline in recent sales, Ford has decided to take the wavering Flex and give it new wings. For the 2013 model year, the vehicle will be "bolder, more urban and hip."1

EV Naysayers Beware, New Ford Hybrid System May Change Your Mind

While many industries and individuals are becoming more environmentally aware, there are still a solid number of automotive consumers that raise an eyebrow at hybrid vehicles. This skepticism is largely due to high costs and low performance. Thankfully, Ford decided to fight against doubts with the development of a new hybrid powertrain.

Ford Explorer Made by 380,000 Brick Legos

When many of us were still children, Legos came only in square blocks of various colors. Constructing the USS Enterprise from Star Trek with a long, square green hull required much imagination. Kids these days are spoiled - the Lego play sets parents spend far too much on look more like models, identical to what they're supposed to represent.

The same can be said about this Ford Explorer built from 380,000 Legos at the…

At Metro Ford, serving the greater Independence area, we know quality in a vehicle is important to all of our customers.  What better way to assure quality, than with a J.D. Are we surprised? No. Strong consumer preference sets precedence. Its been sixty-three years now, and throughout those years…
