Ford Releases 2011 Fiesta Specs

For years, Ford Motor Company has produced their popular hatchback, Fiesta, only in the UK. After online campaigns and millions of fan requests, it's time for what you've been waiting for - the official specs of 2011's US variant Ford Fiesta!



The rumors are true, Fiesta is coming back to North America. Available later this year at Metro Ford the Ford Fiesta is sure to be a complete success. Here's a look at what Ford will offer to potential buyers:

The 2011 Ford Fiesta, US Version, will be a front-engine, front-wheel-drive, 5-passenger, 4-door sedan or a 5-door hatchback.

Base Price for the sedan is $13,995 with a $15,795 tag for the 5-door. For an engine it will contain a DOHC 16-valve inline-4, aluminum block and head, port fuel injection. Power will come from a 120bhp @ 6350 rpm with 112 lb-ft of torque @ 5000 rpm.

These power plants will be matted to a 5-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch automated manual, options available upon purchase at Metro Ford. Performance charts for the 2011 Ford came back with results of 0-to-60 mph in 8.8-9.0 sec, and a top speed of 118 mph.

Dimensions for the 2011 Fiesta include a wheelbase of 98.0 in Length: 160.1-173.6 in Width: 67.8 in Height: 58.0 in. Curb weight for the Fiesta is a light 2550-2650 lbs.
